Killer whale (Orca) and whale safari with wreck diving- a success since the start in 1998.

We dive once in Narvik harbour before we head for Lofoten. During the week at sea we eat and sleep onboard M/S Galten, a 24 meter (78ft) long, fully equipped boat. We snorkel with killer whales for two days. And the rest of the week we dive on known and unknown wrecks.  The diving weeks are planned so you arrive on Sunday and you leave on Saturday, that way you can take one less workday off.

Requirements: minimum AOW or similar and 40 logged dives.

 Facts about the diving week:
-          Bedlinen are onboard.
-          There is no problem if you are a vegetarian, just let us now before you arrive.

-         You also have an opportunity to snorkel with only mask and diving suite.

Wreck diving safari at Lofoten- success since the beginning in 2002.

Narvik dyk och äventyr had the opportunity to present for the season 2002 a new trip that goes to the peak of Lofoten. The diving is great there, and it is a very nice boat trip. During the week we visit the Norwegian brisk boat D/S Hadsel that lies on a light sand bottom, at 43 meters (141ft). It begins at 35 meters (114ft). You can tell by the condition of the ship that not many have been diving there since it is virtually untouched and many details are still there. You can see the intact chimney and mast. The diving weeks are planned so you arrive on Sunday and you leave on Saturday, that way you can take one less workday off.  We also dive at the renowned ship M/S Hamburg that lies in the dept 10-27 (32-88ft) meters. Later this week we also visit the Norwegian brisk boat D/S Mira that was sunk by mistake in World War II.  D/S Mira has transported former king and queen. During the trip we dive on many ships and visit Reine,  Nusfjord, Henningsvaer and Svolvaer all these places are said to be the most beautiful places at Lofoten.

-          You take care of the food part yourself; we have a complete kitchen onboard.
-          If you are a bigger group you can might be able to order breakfast, lunch and dinner for 1500 nok per person.
-          We have 220 volt, 24h a day to charge lamps and telephones.
-          During the week we lie for anchor some nights, otherwise we go in to the harbour in the evenings.
-          Nitrox is available onboard 0.15 NOK / litre.

D/S Nordstjärnan:

On this trip we will spend the first two days with wreck diving in Narvik Harbour and then we will move 9 hours out to Raftsundet and spend the rest of our diving days on the renowned brisk boat D/S Nordstjärnan that ran aground in 1954. The ship was built in 1937 and its main purpose was to transport passengers along the coast of Norway. Mast, chimney and the wooden wheel house are still intact. The propeller and other parts are also still intact. Diving depth is 43-57 meters ( 141- 187 ft) you will not have to go deeper then 45 meters (147ft) to see most of the ship. The dive package includes: six nights accommodation onboard M/S Galten, guide, unlimited diving, air, transport to and from train station, visit to Solvaer war museum. You can solve the food issue yourself but full pension is also available.. Wreck dive safari Narvik/Harstad-success since the start 2001.

After the arrival we begin the wreck diving safari with common information and a visit to Narvik War museum. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we dive in the harbour in Narvik. Here the diving depth is 15-29 meters. meters (50-95 ft). The rest of the week we find our self at wreck diving around Harstad with surroundings, an area that lies northern of Lofoten. We will dive at the German cargo ship S/S Elise Schulte in dept 8-34 meters. (26-111ft)  The diving weeks is planned so you arrive on Sunday and you leave on Saturday, that way you can take one less workday off.  Even M/S Blackwatch gets a visit. The ship was used as a “brothel” for the German submarine menace during the war and lies at dept 18-40 meters (59-131ft). We will also dive at the known ship D/S Dronning Maud, here the chimney and mast is still standing, and depth is between 23-41 meters (75-134ft). The week at sea we eat onboard M/S Galten, a 24 meter (78ft) long boat fully equipped.

Technical diving safari “TRIMIX”-success since the start in 2002.

One dive in Narviks Harbour before departing. During the week we visit four wrecks in depths up to 60 meters(196ft). The first stop is at the German submarine U 711. There you can see tower hatch open all the way, and both propellers. U 711 is the same type as the submarine in the movie “Das Boot” and is 67 meters (219ft) long. The next ship to visit is the Norwegian cargo - and passenger ship D/S Sirius that was bombed in the beginning of the war. You can still see some fine intact details for example a wood steering wheel. The third wreck to visit is the beautiful Norwegian ship D/S Northernstar that runs aground in 1954. The ship was built in 1937 and its purpose was to carry Norwegian passengers along the Norwegian coast.  Here the chimney, mast and navigation bridge in wood are still standing. The propeller is still there. The fourth wreck to see is the newly discovered ship that we found in 2002.  The ship is still very fine and it stands on right keel. The sight is often extremely good here. Maximum dept is 60 meters(196ft).
 The diving weeks is planned so you arrive on Sunday and you leave on Saturday, that way you can take one less workday off.  Narvik dyk och äventyr has a side scan sonar so we will likely find some new objects, during the week we will use it in the area around Harstad If we find something we dive!!  During the week we fill up onboard M/S Galten, we have the equipment. You solve the food issue yourself; we have a complete kitchen onboard with fridge and freezer.
Requirement: Normoxid trimix or similar.
 The package includes: six nights accommodation at diving boat M/S Galten, boat trips, guide, unlimited diving ( but the normal to do is one mix dive a day), transport to and from the train station.
